XePatcher v1.1
>> TheFallen93 released XePatcher v1.1:
[QUOTE]
XePatcher is a simple xex patching app. It will compile a given patch file, and apply the compiled binary to the specified xex. It works much like kernel patches. You start by making a ".s" patch file for your xex. Use the exact addresses you find in IDA as the addresses of the patches. Once you have made all the patches you want, run your ".s" patch file and the xex it should be applied to though XePatcher. It will compile the patch file and report any errors. If it compiles sucessfully then it will decrypt and decompress the xex, apply all the patches, fix all security on the xex, then if specified, will encrypt and compress the xex.

NOTE: Everyone who uses this will have to put XexTool(info).exe in the same folder as XePatcher.exe.

Microsoft Shuts Down Webshop Selling JTAG'ed 360s
>> Microsoft recently closed down a website that specialised in selling modified (jtagged) Xbox 360 consoles. 360jtag.com claim they received a Cease and Desist letter by email and fedex from Microsoft:
[QUOTE]
It has come to Microsoft Corporation.s attention that you are distributing Microsoft Xbox 360 consoles that have been modified to circumvent the built-in hardware and software security mechanisms

Microsoft demands that you immediately cease and desist from distributing all unauthorized Xbox consoles and from engaging in any activity that infringes Microsoft's copyrights and trademarks. Microsoft reserves the right to seek all viable legal remedies without further notice.

By marketing or distributing Xbox consoles that are modified to circumvent the technological measures used to protect Microsoft.s copyrighted programs, you help to provide unauthorized access to Microsoft.s programs. This activity violates federal law and may subject you to substantial liability. Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, distributors of such unauthorized Xbox consoles may be liable for $2,500 for each violation, and repeat offenders face triple damages.

Infringing Microsoft.s copyrights and trademarks can subject you and your company to civil and criminal liability. Even an unintentional infringement of Xbox games in violation of federal copyright and trademarks laws could subject you and your company to civil liability. Further, for willful infringement, federal law authorizes statutory damages of up to $150,000 per copyrighted work and up to $2,000,000 per counterfeit trademark. Intentional violators may also be subject to criminal penalties.

Confirmed: USB Memory Support for the Xbox 360 coming April 6th
>> From majornelson.com:
[QUOTE]
On April 6th, we will be releasing a system update over Xbox LIVE for your Xbox 360 that will allow USB flash drives to be used for storing profiles, game saves, demos and more. I've been testing this feature out for a few weeks, and I have to say it's really great. Once you take the system update on April 6th, you'll be able to connect your USB flash drives to your console and head over to the memory section to configure your new storage device. Once you do that, the system will conduct a one time performance and integrity check to confirm the drive is working properly. You will then be able to configure how much storage to use on the device, up to 16 GB. The remaining space on the flash drive will be accessible by your PC or Mac. USB Hard drives may work, but like flash memory, you'll only be able to use up to 16GB of space. Since performance on flash based USB storage is usually better, I highly recommend using flash based instead of spinning media like a hard drive...it's just going to give you a MUCH better experience.

We've also enhanced the memory management functions, so you'll be able to have better control on what you want to copy or move between storage devices.

A couple of points:
* You can have 2 devices connected to the console at a time, enabling up to 32GB of simultaneous storage.
* The system won't just configure the device once it is connected to the console. You'll need to head to the memory area in system settings, select your USB Device, and choose from Configure Now (Format and Configure the Full Device), or Customize (you can choose how much memory you want configured for Xbox360 from the free space on the device.)

While any flash drive can be used, we are partnering with SanDisk to release an Xbox 360 branded USB flash drive in May that comes pre-configured out of the box and ready to go. I'll provide links to those drives once they're available. Until then, starting April 6th (when we release the system update) you can pop any flash drive over 1GB into your Xbox 360 and configure it as storage.

JTAG Saver v1.0
>> Xbox1Crew released JTAG Saver v1.0 - for safer jtagging your 360:
[QUOTE]
Reasoning behind the design:
We wanted a simple, easy, and effective way of shutting down the jtag when it wasnt needed any longer.
Trying a 555 timer circuit, the circuit worked well, but was too expensive for people to get behind. This revision actually costs about 2 dollars USD to implement and works well, without all of the extra components that were needed for our first revision.

What will Jtag Saver do for me?
It will, in essence, allow you to safely use your jtagged xbox 360 without worry due to extra voltage or current being applied to areas that weren't meant to have them applied. This circuit will shut the jtag circuit off after 15 seconds to try and limit the damage that could be caused after long periods of use.

We developed this circuit after a few boards died soon after jtagging. It was too close together to be coincidental. Most boxes that died did so within a week of jtagging. THIS is the reason for our pursuit.

The circuit has been tested thoroughly. Many on/off cycles were gone through to make sure that it worked every single time. It did.
Optionally, you can add a resistor and LED to pin 7 to show you when pin 6 is shut off (goes high). A 220 ohm resistor should suffice, but this part is up to the end user.

Parts list:
* PIC12f629
* Octal switch cbt3244ad,112
* 2 1n4148 diodes
* 1 100 - 470 ohm resistor (for the "jumper")

NWP CHIP v2 and CMD RF controller released
>> From eurasia.nu:
[QUOTE]
GodzIvan strikes again with an update of the Xbox 360 NAND flash write protection chip now called NWP CHIP v2 [Nand Write Protect Chip V2]. This version uses the Xbox 360 native LED ring (instead of a bi-color LED) to show status, so all you need to do is to flash a PIC12F629 microcontroller and install by soldering wires. After checking the diagram I think the solder points looks easier as well.
LED RING RED -> UNProtected
LED RING GREEN -> Protected
LED RING ORANGE -> SETTING
LED RING BLINK GREEN -> STATE SELECT ENABLE
LED RING BLINK RED -> STATE SELECT DISABLE
LED RING BLINK ORANGE -> SAVING

1) TURN OFF THE XBOX
2) STATUS = Press the Sync Botton for 3 secs (GREEN = Protected; RED = UNProtected)
3) SETTING MODE = Press the Sync Botton for 6 secs (till ORANGE = Setting)
4) SET PROTECTION = Press the Sync Botton for changing the setting (BLINKING GREEN = Protected; BLINKING RED = UNProtected)
5) SAVE = Press the Sync Botton for 6 secs (till BLINKING ORANGE = Saving)
NWP CHIP v2

GodzIvan also released hex dump and diagrams for CMD RF controller v0.1 which makes it possible to use the Xbox360 RF module (with game controllers) by connecting it to a PC. Thanks for sharing!

ISO2GOD v1.3.2
>> KrK / Team 360h released a version of ISO2GOD, a PC app for converting Xbox 360 ISO images straight into Games on Demand containers.

What's new/fixed:
+ Extraction of thumbnails from Xbox1 ISO images.
This release adds support for thumbnail extraction from an Xbox1 ISO's default.xbe. If the XBE has provided a thumbnail for savegames this will be used for preference. If the save thumbnail isn't present then the title thumbnail will be used instead.
There is currently an issue with certain games where it's not possible to convert the thumbnails from XPR->DDS->PNG due to the data being in a non-standard DDS format. If anybody has a detailed specification for the XPR format used in the $$XSIMAGE/$$XTIMAGE sections of an XBE, feel free to get in touch.
+ Option to "auto-browse" for an ISO image when adding an ISO to convert.
~ Improvements to XBE code.
~ Removed debug code from v1.3.1.

XeDOSBox v0.1 Beta
>> LoveMHz of Team XeLove released XeDOSBox, a port of DOSBox for homebrew Xbox 360s:
[QUOTE]
About XeDOSBox:
Yet another great project to work with. This is also Team XeLove's first opensource release. There's still a some bugs left but a few games are running. Note that this is a beta.

Wikipedia -
DOSBox is a full CPU emulator, capable of running DOS programs that require the CPU to be in either real mode or protected mode.[3] Other similar programs, such as dosemu or VDMs for Windows and OS/2, provide compatibility layers and rely on virtualization capabilities of the 386 family processors. Since DOSBox can emulate its CPU by interpretation, it is independent of its host CPU.[3] However, on systems which provide the i386 instruction set, the option to use dynamic instruction translation is available in DOSBox. Though this setting is less accurate and reliable, it is faster than interpretive CPU emulation."

FEATURES:
* USB Keybaord and Chatpad Support
* Config File Support (Should work from CON files)

TODO LIST:
* Fix Bug that causes crash in alot of programs.
* Better keyboard support.
* Graphical Frontend for loading custom config files(Like the Wii Port)
* Mouse Support
* And alot more.
